Parts

Parts Inventory

A large supply of spare and repair parts is available and can often be shipped the same day to keep your downtime to a minimum.

To simplify repairs, EMI is pleased to introduce "First Aid Kits" - stocked with routine maintenance items, such as bearings, gaskets and seals. Order a First Aid Kit in advance of an emergency! Plant personnel will have all the components on-hand when time is critical. Ask your local sales representative for details or contact richard.cutler@emimixers.com.

Custom Parts for Custom Mixers

A majority of mixers are custom built to meet each customer's process specifications. EMI maintains files on Cleveland and Eastern mixers dating from the 1950's to the present day. These records ensure that replacement components can be made to precisely the same application requirements of the original mixer. Without these records, customers might be forced to buy a replacement gearbox, rather than replacement gears. Because we have knowledge about our customers' equipment and processes, it is easier for us to offer lower cost alternatives.

These records also ensure that any retrofits will be produced to the necessary mechanical performance and process requirements. Yesterday's equipment can be reengineered for a new or existing process with absolute confidence.

Service

Application Engineering

All of Cleveland-Eastern Mixers local sales representatives promote engineered products for the process industries. They have years of experience supporting virtually any process application and would welcome an opportunity to review your mixing requirements.

The field sales force is backed up by a staff of application engineers at the factory and regional offices. Computer generated sizing programs are utilized to give the best selection for your process which will be both cost effective initially and long term.

Factory Laboratory Testing and Scale-Up

Often in the development of new products, it is difficult to determine what mixing equipment will enhance your process in the pilot plant or production stage. Our facility in Connecticut can provide sample testing and scale-up on your product at no charge. Vessel configuration, impeller design, size and position, horsepower and speed can be determined to optimize process results. All information developed is proprietary and the property of the customer.

Mixer Loan Program

Cleveland-Eastern Mixers will also provide "loaner" units for testing in your plant. This can be arranged through your local representative.

Mixer Repair

In-house factory repair service will completely rebuild your mixer drive and provide new auxiliary components if required. Regardless of your mixer's age, we maintain its original file and can often rebuild or provide a bolt-in replacement. We continually support drives that have been in service for 40+ years.

Field Repair Service & Start-Up

When mixer service required at your plant, a phone call to your local representative or the factory will be met with a prompt response. We have service engineers available from the factory as well as a number of key representative offices around the country.

Cleveland-Eastern Mixers has highly trained technicians readily available to oversee installation, start-up and troubleshooting on existing mixer processes.

Technical Publications & Seminars

Cleveland-Eastern Mixers offers a number of technical papers pertaining to mixer selection guidelines for different processes. These include papers on applications such as polymerization, paints and coatings, water and waste treatment.
